Your Widcombe councillors are Ian Gilchrist, first elected in 2007, and Ben Stevens, first elected in 2011.

Lib Dem members can also joint he Bathwick and widcombe branch. They meet regularly for social events and to support campaigning.

Ian, Ben and your Widcombe ward Lib Dems are fighting for the things that matter to you.

Currently they are campaigning to:

Finally see a start to the long awaited Rossiter Road scheme.
Increase road safety through the use of 20mph zones.
See a resolution to the 2 Tunnels issues that pleases all residents.
Improve the mix of housing between rented accomodation and permenant residents.
See improvements to the state of Beechan Cliff.
Encourage new ways to deal with street cleanliness, so we can see improvements in our neighbourhoods.

Victoria Bridge reconstruction

Change to school crossing steps at Caroline Buildings

The steps at the school crossing on Caroline Buildings have long been an obstacle to people with buggies or prams because they are too narrow for this purpose. We have now found a way to make them wider but this.

Rossiter Rd/Widcombe Parade scheme – latest

At a meeting of the Working Group a few days ago, attended by representatives of the Widcombe Association, officers and councillors, it was confirmed that the scheme remains on course to begin construction activity in July 2014, with completion hopefully.

Residents Parking Zone 3 – changes

Residents Parking Zone 3, which extends roughly from Widcombe Hill to Holloway (for detail follow this link ), is starting a consultation on changes. This is just for internal changes and boundary changes will not at this stage be considered.
