Cherry lives in Foxhill with her husband and two sons. She has previous professional experience working in the field of Addiction problems in London, and in the Judicial System. She has worked in community Co-ordination, and set up initiatives in Combe Down. Cherry has business experience, and has an understanding of business needs and development. She is active with several charities in Bath. Ten years ago she initiated a significant community profile report on the Foxhill area, working with the University of Bath Social Policy Unit, which drew out the particular needs of that area from within the wider Ward.
Cherry is very committed to Combe Down and is persistent in working to meet the needs of residents and in seeking improvements in the area.
Cherry is particularly pleased to have helped to achieve a number of traffic safety improvements in Combe Down, provided support and advice over planning issues, and in installing the two recycling bins in the ward.
Cherry served asy Cabinet Member for Sustainable Development, and was Spokesperson on the previous Enterprise and Economic Development Overview and Scrutiny Panel. She is a keen supporter of Combe Down local shops and businesses and keen to see Combe Down's green spaces preserved and enhanced. She is delighted to have initiated the project to plant fruit trees and edible shrubs in Foxhill.
