Nigel Roberts was elected to represent Odd Down Ward in 1996.
Nigel Roberts was born at the RAF hospital in Ely, Cambridgeshire. He graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Biochemistry, and now works as a Haematology Laboratory Manager at the RUH.
Nigel has been a councillor in Bath since 1992, and a councillor for Odd Down since 1996. He is also a member of Odd Down Community Association.
He believes that decisions should be made locally, in the area it affects. As a councillor he hopes to improve Odd Down for all residents, by providing more facilities for those in Odd Down, and especially for young people, keeping the streets clean and reducing crime.
Nigel says: "I have been pleased to represent Odd Down since 1996: they
are great people in the area. Steve Hedges and I have helped defend
building on the Odd Down playing fields, fought off 2000 extra houses
being built around Odd Down, and helped residents finally get Sulis
Meadows adopted. We have also achieved many other successes, from
getting pot holes repaired to getting street signs mended."
Together they run the only weekly councillors surgery in Bath and North
East Somerset.
