Tonight the Council is discussing its Core Strategy. This is the plan for our whole area identifying where housing and business can be developed.

I moved an amendment asking for the appropriate, already identified, brownfield sites should be built on before developing in the Green Belt.

Former Lyncombe councillor honoured

Tonight Bath and North East Somerset Council met to honour long serving former councillors. I had the great pleasure of nominating former Lyncombe councillor Marian McNeir MBE for Honorary Alderman. This is what I said;"Marian was the councillor for Lyncombe ward in Bath for sixteen years.
