South Stoke. After much pressure from the Parish Council and local Cllr Gitte Dawson Transco are to remove the dumped spoil on Packhorse Lane in the spring.
Freshford. The Peradins development is coming to committee - with officers saying it should be approved!
Hinton / Wellow. The unstable part of Hinton Hill will be very expensive to repair. Experts are asking for immediate works worth �30,000, with the long-term solution costing �600,000. But it must be done!
Shoscombe School is to keep its temporary classroom for another three years, but there is no intention to increase the number of pupils. The school, parents, and Gitte Dawson are exploring ways to overcome the daily traffic chaos at the school. Gitte is campaigning for a school bus from Peasedown.
Monkton Combe. The hockey pitch project at Mount Pleasant quarry is still to be decided - residents remain very worried. The plans also include a new access road from North Road which will make life more dangerous for Ralph Allen School pupils walking to school.

Parish sweepers will continue to operate as now for at least another year, thanks to hard lobbying from the two LibDem executive members who represent rural areas.
They say, “This is a system that works! It is always best to organise things close to home, not from the centre. We want to protect it.”
A revised scheme involving changes had not been quite thought through - more
work needs to be done. But this time, Rosemary Todd and Gitte Dawson have
insisted that parish councillors should be part of the working group that
will work things out.
