Bath's MP, Don Foster, has written to the Bath City player, Scott Partridge, to congratulate him on being nominated for the Football Association's prestigious "FA Cup Player of the Round" award after his superb performance in Saturday's Third Qualifying Round.

Don has urged all Bath residents to back Scott in an on-line poll at www.theFA.com - votes must be cast by 9.00am on Monday, October 25.

The player who secures the most votes will be crowned FA Cup 'Player of the Round' and will win £1000 worth of UMBRO football kit and equipment for a local school, club or organisation of his choice, plus an engraved silver salver.

Commenting, Don, who is Lib Dem Sports Spokesman, said,

"This is great news for Scott, and Bath City.

"It was a superb hatrick on Saturday, and he really deserves this nomination.

"Now it's up to the city's residents to get on-line and vote for our very own "Hatrick Hero."
