"Alleygates have proven in the past to be very effective at reducing burglaries and crime. "As a community we work well together to find real solutions to enhance the safety and environment of Southdown. We will continue to seek funding for further projects for our area." The Southdown Community Partnership has succeeded in securing funding for an Alleygate scheme for Wedmore Park to gate rear alleys and stop anyone using them to access the rear of properties without permission.
