Foster welcomes city's Park's prizes9.07.31am BST (GMT +0100) Wed 30th Aug 2006 Bath's MP, Don Foster, has expressed his delight that Royal Victoria Park has been awarded a prestigious Green Flag Award. The Green Flag Award Scheme is a national standard for parks and green spaces across the country. Bath's famous Royal Victoria Park has been awarded a Green Flag in recognition of the quality of its contribution to the local community. St Stephen's Millennium Green has received a Green Pennant Award. This award recognises high quality green spaces in England and Wales that are managed by voluntary and community groups. Commenting, Don said: "I'm very pleased that Royal Victoria Park and St. Stephen's have received these awards. "I would like to congratulate all the staff and volunteers who have worked tirelessly to ensure their applications for Green Flag Awards were successful. "It's a fantastic achievement for all involved "
