Don Foster MP getting behind Radstock candidate Simon Allan

A B&NES council by-election will take place in Radstock on Thursday 29th July following the tragic death of independent Councillor Allan Hall after a battle with Leukaemia.

Bath MP Don Foster is supporting local candidate Simon Allan's bid to become the Liberal Democrat councillor for Radstock.

Don said, "I firmly believe that Simon is the best candidate for the job. He's lived in Radstock for six years, his daughter attends the local school, and he is very passionate about local issues."

Simon added, "Having spoken to the residents of Radstock, it's clear there are some very big problems which are simply not being addressed currently - the dangerous speeding on Frome Road for example.

"I'm convinced that I can make a real difference here - I will stand up for local people on B&NES Council."

A Parish Council by-election will also take place in the Keynsham South ward on the same date, which will be contested by Liberal Democrat candidate Andy Halliday, following the resignation of a Labour Councillor.
