Your Peasedown councillors are Sarah Bevan, first elected in 2003, and Nathan Hartley, first elected in 2007.

Members of the Liberal Democrat party can also join the Somer Valley branch which meet regularly for social events.

Sarah, Nathan and your Peasedown Lib Dems are fighting for the things that matter to you.

Currently they are campaigning to:

Quality of Life – to ensure that residents are happy with the public realm, and the day-to-day appearance of their neighbourhood.
Crime – to continue working with our local neighbourhood police team, and our own Anti-Social Behaviour Team, to tackle crime and the fear of crime.
Road Safety – to build on our successes to date, working for improved road safety through the ‘Twenty is Plenty’ campaign and additional speed reduction measures.
Elders and vulnerable people – Sarah and Nathan will continue to encourage health and social agencies to work harder to meet the needs of our older and vulnerable residents.
Children and young people – we’ll continue to work hard on behalf of our younger residents, ensuring that they have access to the best possible education and facilities available to them.
Sustainable living – our work with transition and land share groups and individuals will continue to gather pace, as the importance of The Big Society, Localism and sustainable living increases over the coming years.

Hindu street festival coming to Bath - 20th May '13

A Hindu street festival, which has been celebrated in India for almost 5,000 years is coming to Bath on the 1 st June.

Ratha Yatra, the festival of the chariots, takes place all over the world, and will be observed.

Residents question Curo boss - 1st May '13

Twenty local residents had the chance to meet and question the Chief Executive of Curo Housing in April at a special event.

Organised by local councillor Nathan Hartley, it was an opportunity for tenants of the housing association to share their concerns.

Going green in Peasedown St John - 25th April '13

Young people at Peasedown's Youth and Children's Centre have started to prepare for warmer weather with the creation of new vegetable plots. Located at the back of the centre, they've been out most evenings after school and college spending time.

Keep clear.... - 27th April '13

New 'Keep Clear' markings have bee painted around the junction leading to Frederick and Albert Avenues. Residents living in the vicinity contacted local councillor Nathan Hartley for help after vehicles continually parked next to the junction blocking visibility of other.

Wellow Lane – the gritting mystery solved - 23rd April '2013

Sarah was approached by residents living in Wellow Lane opposite the surgery to ask why the gritting priority route didn’t extend to an essential access and egress to our health centre.
