Hindu street festival coming to Bath - 20th May '13

A Hindu street festival, which has been celebrated in India for almost 5,000 years is coming to Bath on the 1 st June.
Ratha Yatra, the festival of the chariots, takes place all over the world, and will be observed.

Saltford 100 years ago

August 4th 2014 sees the Centenary of the commencement of hostilities in the First World War. This centenary has a huge local and national significance. The Saltford War Memorial, erected 1920, with seventeen local names engraved, reminds us of the scale of the loss of life in WW1 that affected every community.

LED lighting comes to Saltford

The Saltford Parish Plan 2010 highlighted concerns of residents over energy consumption and global warming. LibDem run B&NES Council policy is not to turn off lights or to alter hours but to convert to LED lighting throughout the area. Saltford street lighting is being converted now by Southern Electrical Contracting.Residents question Curo boss - 1st May '13

Twenty local residents had the chance to meet and question the Chief Executive of Curo Housing in April at a special event.
Organised by local councillor Nathan Hartley, it was an opportunity for tenants of the housing association to share their concerns.
