Saltford 100 years ago

August 4th 2014 sees the Centenary of the commencement of hostilities in the First World War. This centenary has a huge local and national significance. The Saltford War Memorial, erected 1920, with seventeen local names engraved, reminds us of the scale of the loss of life in WW1 that affected every community.
150 attend MoD site consultation

One hundred and fifty local residents attended a consultation day organised by the purchasers of the Warminster Road MoD site. Your Lib Dem councillors David Martin and Nicholas Coombes had a private meeting with the development team, and also attended.
LED lighting comes to Saltford

The Saltford Parish Plan 2010 highlighted concerns of residents over energy consumption and global warming. LibDem run B&NES Council policy is not to turn off lights or to alter hours but to convert to LED lighting throughout the area. Saltford street lighting is being converted now by Southern Electrical Contracting.Culverhay Sports Centre

BathNES Council Liberal Democrats have stopped a proposed zebra crossing at the bottom of Bathwick Hill.
The proposal has now been officially rejected by the Lib Dem in charge of transport, Cllr Roger Symonds, after considering the report and consultation.
